Lauren has recently relocated from London to Singapore to join Edelman’s regional leadership team as Director, Marketing & Special Projects. Lauren’s focus is on growing Edelman’s relationships across the firm’s largest global clients in Asia Pacific. She is driving Edelman’s regional marketing efforts, including shaping the story around Edelman’s Trust Barometer. Globally, Lauren is working with Edelman’s talent and marketing teams, with a focus on Edelman’s diversity and inclusion efforts.
Lauren has been with Edelman since 2014, and was Chief of Staff to UK CEO, Ed Williams from 2016 until 2018. In her years at Edelman, Lauren has worked on a number of high stakes corporate reputation, executive profiling and issues-based communications campaigns. She has extensive experience managing multi-stakeholder, multi-market and issues-based communications campaigns for the Task Force on Shale Gas and 100 LIVES. She has also driven integrated communications campaigns for clients, including the Government of Ontario, the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, Barclays, Diageo, Kelloggs, PayPal and the Novak Djokovic Foundation, championing creative ideas, and demonstrating added value to clients’ overarching mission.
Counselling clients on trust is a regular feature of her consulting. For the past two years she has led a major ongoing project looking at public trust in two key UK government agencies. When she’s not thinking about trust, she is often writing about it. As Chief of Staff, she managed an executive positioning platform for Ed Williams and regularly drafted keynotes and public lectures for the CEO. In the past year she has drafted speeches on the topic of trust that were given at Oxford, the London School of Economics, Goldsmiths University of London, the Global Editors Network Summit, NYU Stern, the Huxley Summit, Aspen Ideas Festival, the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, the Women of the Future Summit and Edelman’s Trust Barometer launch in London.
She has experience handling the public affairs portfolio for a range of companies, including her time working alongside Sir James Dyson, the chairman and founder of technology manufacturer Dyson, on his business advisory work for former UK Prime Minister David Cameron. During her time as a trainee within the Single Market Directorate at the European Commission, she was responsible for preparing briefings for Commissioner Michel Barnier, including driving the delivery of the Commissioner’s principal project, the Single Market Act.
