Keely Kuk

In 2023, the newly-appointed Head of Strategy, Keely Kuk, reimagined a traditional media agency’s approach to help clients navigate China’s dynamic, social-first environment.

In less than 6 months, she launched the company’s first Influencer ROI (IROI) solution, a fully localized and highly transparent solutions suite combined with an integrated mix of talents across creative, social and performance in the team. In 12 months, she and her social servicing model won over 70% of pitches participated, grew the company’s influencer billing by triple-digits, established a new consultancy revenue stream, and grew the team from 2 to 10.

Her unconventional but highly effective approach to media planning is not just recognized by clients and peers, but also help her win 2023 China Cannes Young Lion Gold Award in Media. Her rich industry experience was recognized by Festival of Media APAC, making her one of the youngest judges for FOMA 2024.

Penny Chow

When Penny Chow assumed the role of Managing Director at IPG Mediabrands Taiwan in 2022, the company faced a significant drop in billing; reliance on global commitments jeopardized local opportunities, projecting a continuous decline in 2023. She recognized the need for a bold action plan aimed at revolutionizing the conventional media agency model. Her goal is to create a collaborative environment fostering creativity, technology integration, and talent growth. Leading with a ‘can-do’ attitude, she infused creativity into traditional media services, diversified the portfolio, and positioned the company as a transformative partner for local clients, while pursuing growth opportunities beyond traditional boundaries at regional and global levels. Penny’s game-changing strategy not only transformed year-over-year revenue growth from negative to positive and brought the company to RECMA #1 in growth rate in Taiwan, but also led the agency to prioritize human-centric values, focusing on employees’ well-being and giving back to the community.

Shayne Madamba

Shayne is a digital leader with a heart of a teacher. Her digital transformational leadership story highlighted HAVAS Ortega’s successful 2023 agency-wide digital integration thru education, empowerment, and meaningfulness. Shayne contributes to the industry as a subject-matter-expert and media program chair at the CDM program, and a veteran speaker in multiple marketing events: including Nicholas Hall Conferences held face-to-face in Vienna Austria last 2018 and in London last 2019. Shayne also currently teaches in UP Diliman, College of Mass Communications. She is also subject matter consultant on Communication and Technology of the Communication Research Department in developing a new Master’s program in Communication for the Communication Research Department. Apart from teaching, Every year, she mounts and finances provincial food sponsorship programs, hosting over 25 families and providing rice, canned goods, clothing, and toys. Shayne is also an advocate for WWF’s carbon footprint emission programs.
